Предложенная атака основана на результатах Л. Кнудсена и В. Мейера и использует тест хи-квадрат. Схема атаки позволяет значительно уменьшить трудоёмкость нахождения секретного ключа. Ранее известные варианты атак, основанные на тесте хи-квадрат, имеют значительно бо́льшую сложность. Например, для 5-раундового шифра RC6 вычислительная сложность атаки составляет 246, а для лучшего из ранее известных методов - 2101.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The paper is devoted to new cryptanalysis of block cipher RC6. The offered attack is based on results of L. Knudsen and W. Meier and uses the chi-square test. The attack scheme allows to reduce the complexity of finding a secret key. Earlier known variants of attacks based on the chi-square test, have considerably greater complexity.
