The magazine was founded in 2006. The first few issues were published with a frequency of 2 issues per year, then the magazine began to appear 4 times a year (quarterly). The volume of each issue is approximately 100 pages and includes up to 12 articles. Sometimes more extensive thematic issues are published. Since 2010, the journal has been included in the list of the Higher Attestation Commission. During the existence of the journal, it published approx. 600 scientific articles. The editorial board of the journal, carrying out the examination of published articles, has evolved towards attracting domestic and foreign experts with a wide geographical coverage. Gradually, the journal narrowed the focus of scientific areas and today publications are mainly related to two areas - telecommunications and informatics. The best values of some indicators achieved during the period of the journal’s existence: the journal’s index in the SCIENCE INDEX ranking is 0.335 (2017), the five-year impact factor of the RSCI is 0.401 (2018), the number of article views per year on the website elibrary.ru is 9147 (2017). In 2020, in the SCIENCE INDEX rating, the magazine ranked 13th in the "Communication" category and 63rd in the "Automation. Computer Science" category
