Mixed-Signal Video Encoder Integrated Circuit Design Based on Sub-Micron Technology. Part 1. Device Design and Layout

Abstract

A three-channel multi-standard PAL/NTSC video encoder mixed-signal IP core for digital TV and multimedia applications has been designed. The IP core with about 1.56 mm2 is proposed to be fabricated using a standard 0.18 µm CMOS technology flow with analog options followed by packaging using plastic QFN-type package. In the first part of the paper, design- and layout-related data are presented.
